Hi Guy, What you understand from the above line. there is a debate now going on in traditional mindset guys who are fond of writing the English language with each comma and full stop in place and younger Generation who are in hurry and don’t want to waste time on nonessential activities.
Day in day out we are messaging and communicating where some of spellings are being misspelled inadvertently by haste typing or due to thickness of fingure which press near by key and conveying message but don’t complete the grammatical correctness of Englush language. Some time the texting has been started in Hinglish which means people are writing english by using hindi verbose .
Mai Kal milne Ata huin..
Sometime a word is misspelled but you are understanding the meaning what message has been conveyed and you don’t intent to correct the spelling after sending it considering receiver will understand the massage..
Now one more way of fast communication is thru voice typing where 20 percent message is misspelled but understandable.
Need to know you view…
Specially in India where english become a class than language and that is making a devide between fluent and novice in language.
My view on this is that Englush is a language not knowledge and Language has not much to do with domain knowledge.
You are very well aware of the command of Japanese, Germans, and Chinese, etc. on English and their accent but they don’t worry at all then why in India a psudecracy for a particular language and people are not able to express their views and knowledge because of fear of English, for examples wherein one article I have found on Linked In where a guy pointing out the spelling mistake of a lady in the article written by her than I intervened and asked the guy don’t you understand the meaning or you want to check the English knowledge of that lady who wrote the article and second one you don’t qualify…
I have seen in Govt and PSUs lot many time is consumed in corrected Is, Am Are in English in Propsals.
So situation becomes we can’t write good and pure hindi , at least I can’t write good hindi as last time I write one page in hindi in year 1986 ,
Average Indian people fear of making mistakes in spoken English and writing English.
we are writing posts and finding lot many reads are there but no comment for good or need improvement is there ,
WHY …
either we are not understood the post , or we understood but don’t able to comment either good or need improvement points.
Secondly we don’t want to take pain and let other person write what they want why I should bother..
Above is not my view but people expressed by verbal and nonverbal ques.
