In the continuity of my previous article on 19 – 30 principle and discussion held with senior corporate guys who still believe that data gathering by an individual to support his accomplishments is very much required on regular basis as traditional business houses excluding MNCs or global conglomerate are still using yearly evaluation which is more of subjective in nature and still individual in those organization can keep a track of accomplishments in terms of data rather than a theoretical list of jobs completed throughout the year.

One of my batch mate who is in the US for more than approx. 15 years shared the adage quoted by W. Edward’s Deming

“IN THE GOD WE TRUST, ALL OTHERS MUST BRING DATA”

Means except the existence and acceptance of Almighty , Every other claim has to put forth with support of data. Hence every individual has to claim the share of achievements with supporting data in terms of sales figures, production statics , saving done, innovations accrued a benefit equivalent to how much amount, etc.

The restoration of data is equally important for individuals as well as for a company.


Individual also needs to have a brand value like companies which will help him to grow in a particular company, sector or Industry.
So the individual required to have data that supports his credentials like the individual brand in terms of image or value delivered by him to companies he worked with in the past and which can provide him opportunities in the future course of time.
