Hi, Guys as you are aware that everybody in life from a simple common man, laborer, student, housewife, top government officials including IPS, IAS, Corporate Executive from top-notch managers to CXOs all are facing problems on a day-to-day basis. The severity of the problem is almost the same for everyone, like a daily wage worker searching new construction work as the previous job is going to complete soon and a big conglomerate gearing up to get some new multinationals projects as previous projects are nearing to completion.
So the center of the discussion is, Everyone on the day in day out basis faces problems in terms of challenges.
Guess what is the difference between the two words Problem and Challenge.
Challenge is something which we take happily courageously and the problem is something which thrust upon us and we have to face it.
Basically Challange and Problem are the same or we can say two sides of the same coin. Now it depends upon the individual how he or she takes the situation that comes to the individual , Weather he takes as a challenge or a problem. Let’s consider the situation is the same for two people but both react in a different manner one who considers it a problem feels burdened sad and feel frustrated while others who consider it challenge feel motivated and energetic to learn a new thing.
If you see your life in the past Than you will acknowledge that all your achievements are there with you after facing a lot of problems as challenges in your life.
Only some thinking needs to be changed in the way that, You need to understand in your mind that any problem coming to you is an opportunity. We have to start viewing every problem as an opportunity and challenge which comes to us for our development. I remember in our recent past one task has been assigned to our team to complete the same within 120 days which is normally done in 250 to 365 days in Refining Industry. We have contacted almost all Global players of industry specialized in that particular task and nobody was ready to accept the very tight timeline of 120 days.
Then we have contacted some two-three Indian vendors not very renowned one and share that this is an opportunity for them to grow and prove themself if they are ready to take this challenge as an opportunity. Out of the competition, the vendor who has been selected has been started the job and realized that it was really a challenge he has come across and not anticipated earlier. Our team in coordination with all stakeholders took the challenge to finish the task within targeted timelines. The situation of the job was worst than anticipated but with the strong determination of the team, The task was completed within 116 days against a target of 120 days. The duration of the task become a benchmark in the Refining Industry. Hence every time a problem comes, then start treating as an opportunity and grow in your respective field or Domain.
There is an old adage that says “Man is born with nothing whatever he acquired after birth is Profit”
Hence it is up to you how you take life as a problem or challenge. The same thinking pattern can be learned with the help of techniques known as NLP ( Neuro-Linguistic Programming )
