Let’s Think of enhancing our own potential
Hi Guys, Sometimes I come across messages and queries regarding the availability of vacant positions in the oil and gas sector by newcomers or experienced guys. People have numerous queries like can I get a new job or high-paid salary opportunities?
My normal answer is why not if you are looking for a job or opportunities then someone else is looking for a great employee or great collaborator like you, only thing is you have to prepare and project yourself for that job or opportunity. My experience says the requirement of employer or collaborator is more intense because you have at stake is the salary only but he has much more than that, like the growth of organizations, a particular mission, and vision for organizations and ventures.
In India we normally eager to set right everything outside but put very little effort to mend ourselves.
I have been interacting with many guys for a long in connection with technical and managerial resolutions and find people are often focusing on all other things other than themselves.
What I observe and believe if we are able to focus on our own potential and think of problems from another perspective then the results will be entirely different.
I have numerous examples of instances of Oil and Gas industry were very typical and next to impossible issues has been resolving in a very simple way just by exploring the potentials of existing crafts and utilizing the existing resources and later those results become benchmarks of oil and gas sectors.
That’s why the time has come to focus on our own potential and we need to explore ourselves more technically and managerially.
We need to focus on the role competencies of the next or subsequent level or venture.
I request coaches and mentors or even individuals to define role competencies for which a person is aiming.
After assessment of that, The gap analysis and forward path can be prepared by analyzing potential analysis of the individual. People are having much more potential than what they perceive in themselves.
We need guys in Industry and in the mentoring domain to identify the potential and help them to explore the same for themselves and for organizations and ventures they are engaged with..
