We normally come across a heavy and complex word known as MEDITATION which is often stressed from management gurus to spiritual gurus and recommended for a panacea for all stress and tension related issues that normal human being is being suffered in all parts of the world and don’t have a direct medical treatment in any medicopathy as this is not a direct problem related with any body part physical in nature so is the solution suggest that if it is not the problem directly related with physiology and we often hear a piece of advice from our friends, coach and mentors that we need to meditate. For thousands of years, we are following meditation across the globe by way of different ways suggested by different gurus and by different methodologies. I My self doing meditation more than 5 years and discussed with people who are doing meditation with different practices. I myself try to find out what is similar and common in various meditation techniques, than I come across a wonderful scientific and easy understanding of meditation which can be done by a common human being without taking a lot of troubles without thinking it as a complex process.

People are following meditation for long and with different techniques to achieve different results. Being my area of interest. I have gone through various meditation techniques being mentioned by our ancestors and being guided by many spiritual and management Gurus. Reading some very good books on psychology and meditation ranging from history to modern techniques being suggested by management gurus or life coach across the globe. I try to find out the common link and basic process of meditation which a common person can understand and do to get rid of stress tension, anxiety, etc.
Let’s see what are common meditation techniques we normally use across the globe.

The oldest form of meditation that our Rishi Munis do in Himalayan in isolation is thinking of Almighty all the time in form of any deity may be Shiva , Brahma , Vishnu, Mahesh or any Devta or Devil which would have been be happy by their worship and give them the Vardan they asked for like Hiranyakashap asked from God that no human being or animal can kill him, nobody can kill him either in day or night, nobody can kill him either inside his door or outside the door means all condition which can make him free from death and make him immortal.

The chanting of mantra continually for that specific worship of God who can give him some wishes of choice. Say any mantra pertains to specific God be chanted at a specific time daily in morning or evening for days, months, and years for peace and love of that Deity whose mantra is being chanted continually.

Another form of meditation is known as closing eyes and focus on the breath. All the attention of an individual is coming to his breath going in going out and the total focus of the mind is on breath only so that focus shall be to remove all thoughts to one or nil.

Another form of meditation known as guided meditation is like a virtual tour of some other place other than you are presently located maybe by focusing at some specific area far away from where you are presently sitting. This can be done in both ways by keeping eyes open and eyes close say like a virtual tour by wearing a VR device so that you are away from present reality and immersed in some new horizon and focus yourself on one thing.

There is one another for of meditation mentioned in one of a modern management coach to focus on your attention on a rose and see its petals continuously from outward to inward forgetting your present self and remove your attention from all areas to one on rose petals.

There are similar many more ways of meditation which are ultimately reducing the number of thoughts per minute for a period ranging from an hour daily.

Now it is a proven fact that the average normal person comes across approximately 30 to 40 thoughts per minute.

Stress and tension of any type increase with numbers of thought per minute increases which ultimately is a vice versa process. We can also say that decrease in number of thoughts per minute less than 5 leads to increases mental peace and mind is ready to overcome new challenges and ready to achieve extraordinary things of your desire. Desire may vary to meet the supreme soul to achieve all worldly achievements. As we know the power of the focused mind is the power that can help anyone to achieve whatever one desires in terms of health wealth and happiness. Hence just try to reduce the number of thoughts per minute for an hour or so daily to get mental peace and solutions to your problems that are coming to you on a daily basis. As rest of human being in terms of night sleep increases the physical strength of human being similarly rest of mind in terms of reducing number of thougts on daily basis or doing same in morning and evening is a form of meditation increases human focus , problem solving and joy of individual ultimately leads to a wonderful life.I wrote this article for my teenage daughter and son who often asked me what is meditation and by which simple way we can learn the same.
